Lunedi

Back at work, it's Monday! Joyful, joyful!
I finally got my ring Friday and I was sooo excited! I am not a very materialistic person but my ring means a lot to me and I'm just glad it's blingin' up my finger again after a year of not being able to wear it!
I am anticipating working on mostly ISO this week at work. We have a consultant that visits each year from England and helps us get all our paperwork and such in order in preparation for upcoming audits. Since I'm the company's ISO administrator, I end up spending quite a bit of time with her when she's here. She's a joy to be around and it's fun to listen to the accent all week...lol!
Also, I like her because she said to me this morning, "Wow, you've lost a LOT of weight, haven't you??" And I have, and it's always nice to see someone I haven't seen in a long time and have them notice...it's reaffirming. My goal for now is to lose 40 more pounds and see how I look, then determine where to go from there. I have noticed that the lighter I get, the slower the weight goes away! It's frustrating but I know I'll get there this year...I'm determined! Here is my determined face!
A work buddy of mine left the new Portishead cd on my desk this morning! I had heard some of it online a few weeks ago, but I'm excited to hear the whole thing. I'm going to give that a spin and get to work!

Filter - "Take A Picture"
We listened to a lot of satellite radio while on our road trip and mostly the station Lithium on Sirius. They played this song quite a bit over those two weeks...
When I listen this song, I close my eyes and John and I are driving through the Rockies...partly cloudy with visible rays taller than I've ever seen stretching down to the ground...cloud shadows visible on the plains...window down, hair up with the fresh wind blowing through the car...biggest mountains I've ever seen...peaceful, free. It's almost torturous to think about it.
I want to go West again! For good! Who's coming???

Mega!

Life is too busy!
Ever since the road trip, time seems to move faster and faster! Work is insanely ridiculous right now...I have never been this busy. Of course, the company is not doing fantastically well financially, so they've downsized and when that happens, the workload gets dispersed.
Some notes...
I can't believe tomorrow is one month.
The Izzard show was such crap...a re-hash of old shows, other people's political and environmental jokes and a bunch of God bashing. Oh how exciting and incredibly unfunny.
John managed to scuff up the bumper of the Charger on a wood wall in our driveway. We'll probably get it fixed, but not until Autumn when we have less financial obligations.
I picked out my new engagement ring yesterday! They are going to set the stone and give me a call when it's done! I can't wait to get it! I haven't been able to wear my ring in over a year because it broke by the head. I took it to the jewelers the other day and they said because it was an antique, and they could tell it had been laser welded in that very spot "numerous" times, that they could fix it but it would only be a dress piece, not something I could wear every day. I really would like to wear my wedding ringS every day seeing as how they are really the only material posessions that actually mean something to me.
John and I are excited for June because we are going to NC for his brother's wedding! And even better, we're sharing a giant, beautiful cabin with Jim & Nish & the kids! What could be more fun?!?!
Someone took my credit card number and started an account on True.com, which is a dating website. The other day, I opened the transactions screen on my bank account and saw that for $49.99 and so I looked at John and he was like, "Don't look at me!"...lol I called the company and they told me that the card number matched but that they had a different name & d.o.b. associated with it. They canceled it but advised me to contact the police because True.com keeps an ip address on file for all transactions and they will release it to the police upon receipt of a subpoena. I felt a bit silly and actually guilty for reporting it over $50- (if you add all the odds and ends I've swiped over the years, pens, post-its, etc., I'm sure it'd add up to that) but the police were all for busting whoever it might be. They said you never know how many other people are being screwed by the same criminal.
Since we have been spending SO much money lately...we are faced with a very difficult decision: Do we road trip to Columbus, OH on 6/28 to see Tom Waits...OR...do we road trip to NYC on 10/4 to see Nick Cave? Both are rare to catch on tour but we can't afford to do both! Suggestions are welcomed!
The week after Michael's wedding, Benny Hinn is going to be at the Centrum (or DCU Center as they like to call it now) for 3 days. We are kinda interested in going and Jim & Nish are going to come with us if we do. It's pretty cheap, $25 for all 3 days and it should be interesting.
What else? I don't know...I'm sure there are other things rattling around in my skull which I can't bring forth at the moment. I want to move...West. Ooh, and I'm getting a new camera this weekend from my friend Jenn! She went and dropped thousands on a new setup and is selling me one of her old cameras, a nice Nikon DSLR for $150! With a lens and stuff! Woo! It's the camera I took on the road trip and I really liked the pictures I got! Speaking of those...I have more than half still to edit...I really should get around to that!
Look for more pictures soon.

...just a thing.

This.

...and it's soundtrack.
