A few more pictures

Last Friday, when I got home, the sun was just setting and the trees in front of where I live looked RED against the blue sky. I haven't altered these pics at all...ain't they purdy??
Today, I thought a ton of people were dressing up for work, but there were only 3 of us (4 if you count Tim who wore a Devo hat). Here we are, Sean, myself and Ron up in the lunch room.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
Oh, and there will be more pictures tomorrow because I am going to see Mikey tonight in his pumpkin costume!

Yesterday, John and I celebrated two years of marriage! We spent a good part of the day out walking around and taking pictures. We went to this place we knew of in Shrewsbury that used to be all overgrown but has now been partly cleared and turned into a park. We call it the Garden of Sweet Remembrance because on one of the structures, it says that. It's now Prospect Park (apparently, home of the "Prosp Mafia") See:

Jerks.
Here is the main building:

Isn't it gorgeous?!? I actually broke out the analog camera yesterday and took this with my macro lens.
I didn't actually put my foot in it for fear of West Nile crawling onto me!

...and that's Orly Cherry Bomb on my pasty white feet in case anyone cares...lol I LOVE that nail polish!

The garden building again:
I found this orangey filter in my camera bag, so I tried a few shots with it on the lens....the first is my favorite:

That pool is in between the garden building and the wall & stairs. Last time we were there, it was empty and kids were skateboarding in it.
Here are some nice pictures we took on the way to the garden:
Don't forget to look up!

And we saw this on the gate as we were leaving:

::giggle::
After we left there, we drove up to the Worcester State Mental Hospital which has been shut down for some time and people like to say it's haunted. It is an absolutely beautiful bunch of buildings.
And, my favorite, the main building. It sits atop a huge hill and you can see it from a pretty good distance...I think it's gorgeous.

I want to buy it, renovate it and live there.
Oh, and I found an old disposable camera from our wedding and honeymoon and got it developed with the rest of the film. This is the only picture worth showing. It's a statue of Whistler's Mother near Centralia, PA
It really was a fantastic day yesterday.

Ooohhhhh...what do you do with a drunken Missy??

Wow.
Saturday night, I went out with Jenn and Brandon and I got drunk. Not just drunk drunk, but DRUNK. I have never in my life puked the same night as drinking but that all changed Saturday night. First, Jenn, Brandon and I went to the Wind Tiki and had some appetizers and drinks. I drank a Mai Tai. Mmm. Then, we went to Tal's...this little bar in Webster. I started right away with double Kamikaze shots and Grape Crushes. I'm told I downed two double shots and two Grape Crushes within like, 10 minutes.
Can you tell?
Jenn loves me:
Brandon is the reason I made it home safely...and I even made him stop once so I could PUKE on the side of the road. Such a lady. Thanks Beej!
Ohhh...what a night:
Never again. You all hear me? I PROMISE YOU, never again.

Yeah, so umm...

My high school assistant just guessed that I was 35 years old. What a freakin' reality check. I guess I'm not a kid anymore .

Monday will be the 2-year wedding anniversary for me and John! Sometimes, I just wonder how I got so lucky. We have such an amazing marriage. We were made for each other because I could never imagine getting along so well with anyone else. We're not just best friends...he's my comforter, my protector, my heart. He's so strong and patient and kind and smart...GUSH!
::sigh::

I'll be like Funshine and make the sun shine.

Question of the Day: Do you remember your first flight? Where did you go? Why?
I do remember my first flight! It was 1989, I was 9 years old and I flew with my parents and brother to Orlando, FL. My dad had given my mom the tickets for her birthday in February, he put them at the bottom of a huge box with paper stuffed all in it. She opened the box in bed and when I realized that there were FOUR tickets and that we were all going to Disney World I was thrilled! I kept jumping up and down . I got a window seat, and while we were flying, I kept looking for Care Bears out the window! I used to always watch for Care Bears bums to peek through the clouds from underneath and never saw any so I thought for sure if I went up above the clouds I would see some! Needless to say, I saw none . Anyway, Disney was awesome, except for Space Mountain. I sat in the front seat right in front of my dad and I kept screaming for him to hold on to me because I was scared and he just was laughing. Ugh. I still love him though.

Why did it have to end?
And, where did y'all fly your first time?
