Alright! We just had a company meeting outside. Everyone had been trying to speculate about why the meeting had been called. We've had good meetings here and bad meetings here. Obviously, we were all hoping for the best today. We were in luck! My boss called the meeting to let the entire company know that he's giving us the day off tomorrow, paid! I had already scheduled a vacation day for Friday, but he said if anyone already had a day scheduled, they wouldn't lose any vacation time!
This is just a great start to what I hope will be a great 4-day weekend. Tonight, John and I will be cleaning, packing bags and enjoying togetherness in preparation for our little getaway. Tomorrow, we are headed down to Connecticut to stay overnight in a suite with a jacuzzi right in the room! Tomorrow night is the Collective Soul show at Foxwoods around 9pm. The place where we're staying has three limousines that you can take to Foxwoods for free! So, we're going to take a limo there, see the show, gamble a bit, have some drinks and take a limo back to chill in the jacuzzi. I can't WAIT!
Saturday, we're planning on heading to Mystic, CT. I haven't been there since I was a kid and John has never been there (to my knowledge). From what I remember, it's pretty nice. I haven't been to the ocean in a while, so it'll be nice to see.
I'm taking LOTS of pictures, so everyone look forward to them when I get back!
