Back to work with my eye on the weekend!

First day back to work after the 4-day weekend went well. I'm glad it's already Wednesday! We really weren't too busy but I was able to stretch the work so that the day didn't drag too badly. I notified work that my last day would be 11/11/11 (my hubby's birthday!) unless the baby turned, in which case I might work longer. This means I only have to work the rest of this week and two more weeks! Yay! I am so ready for a much needed break from work at the dealership! I understand my new "job" will be demanding but it will also be very rewarding. I'm so excited!

Came home to a delicious dinner of homemade boneless buffalo chicken! John makes the best dinners...I'm really lucky! The chicken is one of his specialties, and definitely my current favorite! I'm gonna have to learn how to cook so I can make him some delicious dinners when I'm home with Vincent. Aaaaaah, I'm gonna be a Mom!

Really looking forward to this weekend. On Saturday, the ladies from my church are throwing me a baby shower! It was totally unexpected and I feel a little weird since I don't really socialize with any of them so I don't know any of them very well. They asked me if it would be okay if they threw me a shower and said that they love welcoming new babies! How could I say no? It's pot luck so everyone's going to bring something to eat and my mom is still trying to decide what to make. I asked her to come with me because she's much more social than I am so she will make me more comfortable. :) My big dilemma is what to wear. I might go out Friday night and see if I can find a dress somewhere.

Then, on Sunday, John and I are going to have dinner at The Castle! It's our 7 year anniversary and we go there for dinner every year since that's where we were married. Their food is delicious and I LOVE the creme brulee. One good thing about this year is that our bill should be a little smaller since we won't be adding a bottle of red wine! I think we're going to try the Chateaubriand this year. It's prepared at your table and of all the times we've gone there, we've never had it. Here we are last year at our dinner:

::sigh:: I love him SO much! Can't wait for our date this year!
