This is going to be a good summer.

After last summer, anything is an improvement.

John got an e-mail back from a recruiter with whom he's been working trying to get into this company in Worcester. It would be such an excellent job change, so we're praying that happens (and soon!). He'd be designing power plants and working with one of his good friends, which I know would make him happy. He's pretty much miserable where he is now.

I'm happy at my job. I really can't (and shouldn't) complain. I'm well-liked here and there's definitely job security and a future here. My problem is I can't stand it when people talk down to me or snap at me because they're in a bad mood about something else. I get all 'fight or flight' and I either want to start yelling or just walk out and quit. It doesn't happen often, and usually I can just wait it out. Besides, it's better here than at any other job I've had.

John and I have an appointment Friday and hopefully we'll get some much needed answers, and advice and assistance. Looking forward to giving everyone good news someday soon.

I can't WAIT for Friday!! We are having a big carnival here at work and I just might get to BOX my boss! Hahah! Of course, I tend to be all talk and no action a lot of times and my mouth ends up getting me in some deep sh*#! John is coming to the carnival, I'll definitely box him. My mom is coming too, but I will NOT fight her because I tried that once when I was 12 and she gave me the first shot and I pushed her in the shoulder and she threw me across the room and I hit the closet and fell and started crying. She's a b.a.m.f. :)

Also, I think I think I think that our boss is going to announce that we get Monday and Tuesday off (in addition to the W-Th-F that we already had). The company has never done a summer or winter "shutdown", so this will be the first time. Since Friday will not really be a work day, that'll be 10 days off in a row!!!!! The last time I had that many days off was before I got this job! John only has to work Monday, he got Friday and all next week off too. :)
