Question of the Day: "What tv shows are you watching this season and why?"

I will be watching:

Jericho - One of my favorite books is "Swan Song" by Robert McCammon. It's a post-apocalyptic sci-fi, horror, drama, romance, thriller, comedy story in which small groups of survivors clash with one another. This show reminds me a bit of that book. In Jericho, the US is under attack. Bombs have gone off in Denver and Atlanta that we know of so far...and people are getting together trying to figure out what to do. The focus is on a group of people in a small town named Jericho, hence the title. John and I are both hoping this doesn't go the way of Threshold, a really good show that started last year but was cancelled after 4 or 5 episodes aired.

Prison Break - I've been watching this show since last season when it was on after 24. I got hooked. I do actually enjoy the show for the writing and acting, not just because I get to watch Wenty. It feels similar to 24 in that they don't leave you hanging for very long. Each episode is packed with things happening...not like a soap opera where they take 4 months just to resolve ONE thing. Whatever they left to be continued is usually continued in the very next episode. Plus, T-Bag is a great character - disgusting and twisted, but entertaining nonetheless.

Dr. Who - The new episodes are just fantastic! I hadn't seen Dr. Who since I was a kid and started to watch again last season when Christopher Eccleston took on the role. The writing is hilarious!

Smith - How could I not watch a show with Ray Liotta in it? The premiere episode was great, kept me right on the edge of my seat.

Vanished - This show is really not that good, in my opinion. However, since I started watching it already, I'm going to keep watching to see what happens.

John and I regularly watch Metalocalypse (highly recommended) because it's funny sh*t. They are only 15 minute episodes but they are a quality 15 minutes. It's on Adult Swim.

Also, see The Boondocks if you can. I believe it's on Adult Swim as well but I don't know because John is the Tivo master in our household.

The only reality show I have been watching lately (since American Idol and Big Brother have ended) is Project Runway. That's almost over though. Oh well, new American Idol in January!

Stargate SG-1's season is over and from what I hear, the show been cancelled because the people at the SciFi Channel are retards. I'll be very upset if there's no more SG-1. Call me a geek if you want, but I LOVE that show. Supposedly, Stargate Atlantis is going to continue, but we'll see.
